Solitude Based on Isolation | steel, textile, and wood | 10' x 4' x 4'
This sculpture is a steel armor on the outside, once you enter it, it becomes a room that can hold only you. The top of the sculpture is cut into patterns and given a light source, resulting in the projection of the design onto the person experiencing the artwork. The front consists of fabric referencing the burqa not only in material but also through the shape of the opening up top.
